HOW MUCH DO I NEED TO RAISE?
Cradle Summit-ers need to raise $4,000 each and East Coast Walkers have to contribute $4,000 as a team.
WHAT IF I'VE NEVER DONE ANY FUNDRAISING?
If you have never raised money before, don't panic, we'll be with you every step of the way. You'll have access to a private Facebook group, fcatch-up meetings and each participant will have a page which will allow you to collect (and receipt) donations.
$4,000 SEEMS LIKE A LOT OF MONEY. I'M NOT SURE I CAN MAKE IT!
The most important thing is not to get overwhelmed. Break your target down. Think of it in bite-sized chunks. To raise your $4,000 you can ask 400 people for $10, 100 people for $40 OR 40 people for $100.
Once you register, you'll receive a fundraising kit but here are some ideas to get you thinking.
WHO ARE YOU?
WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
I live in Layne's hometown on the Northern Beaches in Sydney.
WHAT DO YOU DO?
I am a new mum and I've just gone back to work part-time, working with the community.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO TAKE THE CHALLENGE?
Before having a baby, I was fit, loved socialising and travel. Being a mum, has definitely been my greatest challenge. I didn't expect motherhood to be so hard. I really missed my sleep-ins and being able to leave the house when ever I want. I decided to sign up to do the challenge as it was an incentive to get fit, have a bit of 'me time' and find my way back out into nature.
WHY THE LAYNE BEACHLEY FOUNDATION?
This is a tangible way to give back to young Australian women who want to change the world. I really couldn't think of a better reason.
