Name: Nadine Dimitrievitch
Nadine is extremely focussed, dedicated and passionate about acting and theatre. She is one of the few students to be accepted into Ecole International de Theatre Jacques Lecoq in Paris. It is a full time post graduate course is a professional school of Mime and Theatre. The Aim for the Stars grant will support her ongoing study helping her continue her studies for the second and final year so she can return to Australia and create inspirational theatre that is unique and her own.
When did you start?
I started Performing at the age of three, performing in my stage debut ‘The Court of Flora’ by Meryl Tankard at the Floriade Festival in Canberra, 1991.
Career highlight or biggest achievement?
Being accepted into the school of my dreams, Ecole International de Theatre Jacques Lecoq, in Paris.
What is your dream?
To create a theatre company with a collective ensemble, working together to create, write and develop new and exciting theatre.
Who or what have inspired you?
Who's your hero?
Geoffrey Rush, I have always admired him as an Australian artist, he is my favourite Actor. His characters are always bigger then life and he makes the most interesting choices. He studied at Jacques Lecoq and it is a cause of him that I discovered the school. He has definitely inspired me as an actress.
Any other special talents?
I have trained in ballet ever since I could walk.
I have a very eclectic taste of music and generally like anything that makes me move. But to list a few Kate bush, Erik Satie, Maurice Ravel, the Icelandic band múm, 80’s music in general and Nina Simone.
When ever I am asked this question I can’t help but think of the movies from my childhood, Jurassic Park, The Labyrinth, Back to the Future and Ghost busters all being at the top of the list.
Favourite TV Show?
Chocolate… especially Swiss chocolate!
