Jessica Brown is a passionate and gifted 14 year old ballet dancer and her ultimate, achievable dream is to become a soloist in a Professional Ballet Company. Jessica was recently chosen to perform as “Little Aurora” in the Queensland Ballet production of “Sleeping Beauty” where she received rave reviews. Jessica has moved away from home to study Classical Ballet fulltime. Jessica dances all day and comes home to do her school work via Distance Education in the evenings. Friday afternoon she returns home to Brisbane for the weekend to be with her family. Jessica has been invited to attend “The Royal Ballet Schools International Summer School’ July this year in London. In addition she has recently won ‘Hollywood’s – Ultimate-In-Dance-Competition’ in Brisbane. Out of 300 dancers and in front of some of America’s best choreographers, Jessica placed first and was invited to participate in an 11 day workshop in Hollywood. The Aim for the Stars Scholarship will go a long way to supporting Jessica in pursuing her passion in dance.

How the grant will help you/how will you use the money?
The money will enable me to take up an offer by the Director of the Royal Ballet School to attend their International Summer School in London in July.
