Name: Dimi Coventry
I am a 14-year-old triathlete on the Gold Coast. My mum is a single parent and it is really hard for her to be able to support my 10-year-old sister and me. I have represented QLD at various National Championships and am currently the QLD Aquathlon, triathlon and duathlon champion. This year I want to make the 2014 NTA (National talent Academy – TRIATHLON) My dream is to one day represent Australia at a world champs and an Olympic Games.
When did you start?
I have been swimming since a very young age and I decided to take up competitive swimming at 8. I also loved to run but I didn't start actually training for running until I was 10. I started to do the odd triathlon here and there when I was about 11 and I just loved it and continued from there!
