Pursuit: Ongoing Education - Psychology
Codie Collins is Eastern Arrernte from Central Australia and comes from a family of 2 sisters and 3 brothers. She is currently doing her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne majoring in psychology and criminology and doing an internship with the ANZ Fraud Team.
In year 12 Codie won the OLSH Indigenous Dux and Centrecorp Academic Award. Her goal is to become a psychologist and to bridge cultural gaps and lay stronger foundations for the future of Aboriginal people. She has overcome so many barriers in her life when she was young and yet always focussed on her education and career. Codie is a great role model for young people.

Career highlight or biggest achievement?
Receiving the Indigenous Dux of my high school
What is your dream?
To become a forensic psychologist and work for the major crimes unit

Any other special talents?
Codie is a talented sportswoman in netball and athletics and was the gold medal winner in the Northern Territory for high jump for 3 years and she represented the Northern Territory at the National Athletic Championships for 3 years.
