What is your dream?
My dream is to become a professional futsal/soccer player and inspire people from all around the
world to follow their dreams and never give up.
How did you find your passion?
I started playing soccer when I was 10, I was inspired by my older sister who was playing Futsal at
the time. I enjoyed playing soccer so much that I decided when I started High School to follow in my
sisters footsteps and take up Futsal. Even though I have played both soccer and futsal for the last
few years, Futsal has always been my favourite and the one I have been most passionate about.
Tell us about your dreams / goals for the next 12 months?
I am really excited that one of my dreams is coming true thanks to Aim for the stars. I am finally able
to take up the opportunity to represent Australia in the U.S.A in July this year. Last year I was
chosen to represent Australia in Brazil but unfortunately due to funding issues I couldn't make it.
Over the next 12 months I will be training even harder to continue in the sport I love.
How will the scholarship support your endeavours?
This scholarship will allow me to go to the U.S.A in July to represent Australia. This scholarship is an
amazing opportunity for which i am truly honoured and thankful. It will also help me to push forward
with staying true to what I believe in and supporting others along the way.
Career highlight or biggest achievement?
Definitely being selected to represent Australia in Futsal twice in the last two years.
How important is inspiration in your life?
I would rate Inspiration as one of the most important things in my life. It keeps me going and aiming
for my goals when I'm feeling defeated. I have watched so many stories and biographies of people
who have been knocked down and inspired to get back up again and keep aiming for their goals. I
try to live an inspired life as much as I can and keep inspiring quotes around me to remind me as
Who’s your hero (and why)?
My mum. I look up to many stars and sports legends such as Cathy Freeman, Michael Oher and
Lionell Messi but my mum is my biggest hero. She is a very strong person, she supports all of my
sporting choices and is always sitting in the crowd cheering me on when she can.
How will you support your community in the future?
I will be volunteering in sporting events in my local community. I will also help coach and mentor
younger players through my school futsal program. I have done this in the past and will definitely
continue to do it into the future.
What’s the motto that you live by?
Good things come to those who believe, better things come to those who are patient and the best
things come to those who don't give up!
